The first gun

Something ive been thinking about for a long time is what the first gun is for type of gun.
I mean, its looks like an old pirate-pistol, sounds like a Glock but its only have 12 shots.
My guess is that it is an USP-pistol, but what the fuck, it sounds like the sound a Glock is making:(

The game assets from the original game label it as a USP. For a more elaborate answer I reckon you should wait 'til the original devs can shed some light on things.

To be honest, we never really talked too much about what kind of pistol the first weapon is. It's supposed to feel generic and  slightly underpowered to make you want to buy something better!

It is indeed labeled as USP but we don't use USP-sounds, since the USP sounds (and is!) powerful and deadly. I think it uses the sound effect of a P228 pistol, which (at least in Counter-strike) has 13 rounds, but the number 12 feels much cleaner than 13.

Consider it some cheap low-caliber gun that sealers use to euthanize wounded seals.

And one more thing: Lookin at the clip size will not tell for sure witch gun it is. Glocks for example can be ecuipped with mags that can house 33 rounds (G18 and 17) . Could be a berretta M9 i think

Oh man I would go crazy if a Desert Eagle was added to this game; that would be so awesome!

as a variant it can be the chose in the beginning. for example:
1) 12-bullet pistol (as in the first SH)
2) 21-bullet pistol that shoots 3 bullets by birst-fire, but dagame is lower

or 8-bullet pistol that shoots and has damage as the first one, but bullet can go through one (ONLY ONE) enemy. This i saw in Resident evil 4
