I'm using an old Playstation 1 controller for most games (using a PS ->PC converter) alongside an X360 controller for development purposes seeing as it's close to the standard choice nowadays.

I use the keyboard on my laptop, and this simple Microsoft mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105185

Best damn mouse ever, feels great and always goes exactly where I want it   :P

Yeah, a few years ago I started hearing laptops being referred to as notebooks here in the US, I guess it didn't catch on.
